Rochon was the child of Zelma Staples as well as Samuel Staples. She was born in Torrance, Los Angeles, to Zelma Staples and Samuel Staples. An enthusiast for cars, she served as the host of series for Garage Squad on Discovery's MotorTrend Network, Street Tuner Challenge on Speed TV and a guest on Jay Leno's Garage. Heather was host and the creator of Drive Yourself Local. In this series of digital travel, she takes a 1965 Ford Mustang on a journey across America as she shares small-town life. Heather has appeared in several films and television shows, including Nightingale and Epic Movie.

Ullerup first appeared in Battlestar Galactica remake, the Sci Fi Channel's 2006 television show. The role she played was Julia Brynn. The character she played, Ashley Magnus, was written out of Sanctuary's first and second seasons. Fans were enraged by her departure, and many would like to see her back for future episodes. It ended in 2012 but not before an intense discussion. In 2016, Ullerup was cast as Bree O'Brien in Chesapeake Shores. Ullerup played Maggie Thomas, the estranged wife to Michael Thomas, in the disaster movie Asteroid: Final Impact (2015). Ullerup played Dale Travers, a recurring role on Hallmark's Signed, Sealed, Delivered films from 2016 until today.
