Anna Leigh Ashford
Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American actor and singer. She was a dancer and singer in the early days of Broadway parts included Wicked Legally Blonde & Hair. The play You Can't Take It With You She was the recipient of the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in the Play. Annaleigh Ashford is a Tony Award winner actor is a frequent collaborator with famous director and actors across the stage and on television. She continues this award-winning career with her upcoming projects. Ashford will be next in the role of Kumail Nanjiani on the Hulu restricted program Welcome to Chippendales from creator Robert Siegel premiering on November 22. Ashford's most recent film involves Searchlight Pictures horror thriller Dust and starring Sarah Paulson and Ebonmoss-Bachrach. This film is undoubtedly a Hulu Original and will be streamed via Disney DTC. Ashford comes back to Broadway on March 20, 2023 where he will star alongside Josh Groban opposite Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production is at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. The show will be produced by Thomas Kail and produced by Jeffrey Seller, the team that created Hamilton. Ashford was a part of Paula Jones, the main character of Ryan Murphy's latest FX drama American Crime Story Impeachment. The series is based on an incident that took place in the United States, involving Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp and other principal character. She was in two seasons of the popular CBS comedy B Positive. She was also a guest on the popular series developed by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre, in which she starred alongside iconic actors Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. No stranger to Broadway Ashford was awarded the Tony Drama Desk Award and the Outer Critics Circle Awards with her character Essie. Additional Broadway roles for Ashford include Sunday in the Park, with George Wicked legally Blonde, as well as her role as Lauren in Kinky Boots. For this performance she received a Tony Award nomination. Ashford was raised and born in Denver and currently splits the time in Los Angeles, and New York.
